 "When the Sun Shines and all is well, friends abound & al feels Swell. But when the rain falls & things are bad, fair weather friends can leave you feeling sad. Those standing by you are the gold in your life."

What exactly are Fair Weather Friends?

They are the ones who claim to be friends & act like friends, when all is good or when they need something. If things go bad. If you experience some life hardships, fair weather friends are the ones who are not there when you need friends the most thus the expression "Fair Weather Friends". They're only around when the weather is good in your life. While hardships or challenges in your life may be difficult, it shows up who your real friends are. The ones who stand by you. The Ones there no matter what. They are the Real People. The Real Friends. The ones who care genuinely. The Gold in your life. Cherish them. The fair weather friends, they were there for the free ride. They are takers not givers. Superficial.

There may be some circumstances where some friends may seem like fair weather friends but are actually going through things themselves & not able to cope or be there. Be balanced in your approach in determining the True Friends from the fakes. Do an inventory. Clean house. Cut off the fakes. Move Forward. Move Onward. Save your energy to work at being good again.

If you find yourself alone, build new friendships if that's what it takes. This is not advice, it's simply an observation and experience that many go through & some encouragement to look past a fair weather friends situation.
