RECIPE & PROCESS
Amazing Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte (No Special Equipment Needed)
INGREDIENTS
- (1 large or 2 small servings)
- 2 cups (480ml) milk — dairy or your favorite alternative (oat, almond, soy)
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée (not pie filling)
- 1–2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger & cloves)
- ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ cup (120ml) strong brewed coffee or 1 or 2 shots of espresso if you have it.
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- A sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin spice for garnish
HOW TO MAKE IT
- Warm the milk & pumpkin ingredients
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together milk, pumpkin purée, sugar, and pumpkin spice.
- Heat until hot but don't boil it. Just heat it until it's steaming.
- Add vanilla: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Whisk vigorously, shake in a sealed jar, or use a handheld frother for 20–30 seconds until it gets slightly foamy.
- (No frother? Just whisk quickly, it will still get creamy)
- Adding / Combining: Add the brewed coffee or espresso to your mug. Combine: Pour the pumpkin-spiced milk mixture over the coffee.
- Topping it off: Finish with whipped cream and a light dusting of cinnamon or pumpkin spice.
Serving Suggestions
- For extra richness, use half milk + half cream.
- Add a drizzle of caramel for a coffeehouse-style twist.
ICED VERSION
- Want to make an iced version instead of a hot one? Chill the milk mixture and serve over ice before adding coffee.
RESULTS
- A perfectly balanced, creamy Pumpkin Spice Latte that tastes like fall and no espresso machine needed.
Enjoy
Cheers
